Safe UV Lamps
safeUV proudly manufactures innovative UV lamps, safe for human exposure. We supply our lamps to OEM partners seeking to incorporate the highest quality UV lamps into their spaces and products. Made to exacting standards, safeUV lamps provide superior elimination of surface, airborne and liquid pathogens.
Adaptable
There are unlimited uses for this technology in the world today. We are able to customize our lamps for your specific need and make sure the lamps are safe and effective in your environment. We love to collaborate with engineering and product teams to provide the ultimate safe disinfection solution.
Climate Safe
Our lamps can run in any climate and are not affected by temperature or humidity. Lower wattage lamps require no cooling and put off limited heat. Higher wattage lamps may require cooling depending on use and environment. safeUV can consult on your application requirements.
Mercury-Free
safeUV excimer lamps are mercury free and contain small quantities of inert gasses. In the instance of a broken lamp there is no danger to the contents. Additionally the quartz tube is fully recyclable or rechargeable at the end of the lamps lifecycle.
Cost-Effective
While the initial outlay for a SafeUV lamp may be higher than that of a conventional UV lamp, the subsequent benefits offset any budget concerns. When cost averaging the price of the lamp over the 30,000 hour lifespan the true cost of the technology is similar or less than competing products.
safeUV understands that OEM’s applications and integrations of excimer lamps vary widely. We are equipped to develop lamps for specific uses, and for applications with unique power and dimensional requirements.
Disinfecting Power
As chemicals for disinfection can be costly and harmful, our innovative UV lamps, safe for human exposure, are the ideal alternative for OEMs seeking reliable, consistent sanitization solutions.
The spectrum of UV light between 160 and 310 nm has germicidal characteristics, making it ideal for disinfection. The mechanism of this disinfection lies in the disruption of the DNA of microorganisms as a result of contact with UV waves.
When UV waves between 160-310nm come into contact with a pathogen, the UV rays excite the core molecules of the pathogen’s DNA to such an extent that they are destroyed. This annihilation of the pathogen’s DNA renders the pathogen harmless and eradicates the possibility of infection.
